This page is currently under construction and will be updated shortly - If you require information about CILIP EoE urgently, please see our contacts page.

CILIP East of England represents the interests of all CILIP members in the Eastern Region consisting of Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, Suffolk and Peterborough. A varied programme of events, courses and meetings is organized and regional responses on national issues are sent to the CILIP.

CILIP EoE consists of the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals (CILIP), the editors of "The Easterner" and "The East Anglian Bibliography", the Branch Councillor and local representatives from CILIP Groups: COFHE, Information Services, Local Studies, Public Libraries and Youth Libraries.

CILIP EoE operates through its two Working Groups:

The Publications and Professional Liaison Working Group deals with all aspects of ELIPP publications, such as "Sunrise" newsletter and "East Anglian Bibliography", sends comments to CILIP and to national government on library issues and promotes professional matters.

The Continuing Education Working Group deals with all aspects of any course or meeting organized by CILIP EoE or one of its constituent bodies. We welcome suggestions from members for future courses.

CILIP EoE exists to represent your interests and serve your needs. Please contact any committee member, with your views or for information.

"ELIPP provides an important focal point for opinion and debate in the region. I would strongly recommend to everyone the benefits of playing an active role in this local forum."
Mike Hosking, Head of Libraries and Information, Cambridgeshire.

"ELIPP is an organisation which every librarian should support. It provides a co-ordination of activity and a forum in which professionals of all backgrounds can develop personally and professionally within the region."
David Baker, Librarian, University of East Anglia.

"ELIPP provides an invaluable network for all library workers in the Eastern Region. There are many groups with special interests and many meetings and events throughout the year. I'm sure there is something of interest for everyone."
Rebecca Goldsmith, Training Officer, Cambridgeshire Libraries.
